 Brandon K. Smith, CPA, MBA has over fifteen years of public accounting experience mostly with a Big Four national CPA firm before joining Smith and Shin, LLC. He provides consulting, tax planning, and tax preparation for well over three hundred real estate investors nationwide and locally. Brandon is certified in both North and South Carolina, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants. He earned a B.S. degree in financial accounting, cum laude, with a distinction in accounting, from the University of North Carolina at Asheville and a Masters in Business Administation from Appalachian State University. He currently serves as the Treasurer for the Upstate Carolina's Real Estate Investors Association. Brandon is father of four young children and enjoys any and all down time that is possible. |
Ki Y. Shin, CPA, MST has over 22 years of public accounting experience. He has worked for multiple Big Four national firms before joining Smith and Shin, LL. Ki was previously the in charge tax manager for the largest real estate investor in the nation (Apartment Investment Management Company - A.K.A. AIMCO). Although Ki has broad experience with all types of entities he has a specialized niche with real estate. Ki is also certified in North and South Carolina, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He earned his Masters in taxation degree from the University of South Carolina. Ki is a father of four and enjoys attending church.
